Casey Abrams was born in Austin, Texas and spent his early years in Chicago. He then later moved to California to attend Idyllwild Arts Academy. An extraordinary musician, Abrams studied classical bass, piano, improvisation, music history and participated in numerous jazz ensembles. After graduating, he then studied music at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Abrams was a standout finalist on American Idol season 10 thanks to his distinctively original voice and musical ability. The 21-year-old can play a staggering 11 musical instruments by ear and was classically trained on the stand up bass.
His 2012 self-titled debut album features two stand-out singles, “Get Out,” and “Simple Life.” “I’m so glad to be a part of this thing called music, and I am thrilled people are going to be able to take this musical journey with me” said Abrams of his debut album.
